These oven-baked BBQ chicken thighs are juicy, flavorful, and easy to make with just five simple ingredients. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual entertaining.

6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
3/4 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.

  • Pat thighs dry and coat with olive oil.

  • Season both sides with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Place skin-side up on the tray.

  • Bake for 25 minutes.

  • Brush with BBQ sauce.

  • Bake for another 15–20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 175°F.

  • Broil for 2–3 minutes for a caramelized glaze.

  • Rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
