A flavorful one-pan meal combining seasoned ground beef, crispy French fries, and melted cheddar cheese—topped with all your favorite burger fixings.
1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
16 oz frozen French fries
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup dill pickle slices (optional)
Optional toppings: chopped tomato, shredded lettuce, crumbled bacon
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Brown ground beef in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.
Mix in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Spread frozen fries evenly over the top—do not mix.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until fries are crispy.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over fries. Return to oven for 5–7 minutes until melted.
Let sit for 5 minutes. Add pickles or desired toppings and serve.
