A hearty, one-skillet dinner that combines the savory essence of a cheeseburger with creamy pasta. Simple to make, packed with flavor, and perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
1 yellow onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups small pasta (elbows or shells)
3 cups beef broth
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 oz cream cheese
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp yellow mustard
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, 6–8 minutes.

  • Stir in garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

  • Add pasta and broth. Stir well, bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10–12 minutes.

  • Once pasta is cooked, lower heat and mix in cream cheese. Stir until melted.

  • Gradually add cheddar cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.

  • Add ketchup and mustard. Stir to combine.

  • Stir in pickles, if using, or use as garnish.

  • Serve hot.
