Chocolate Strawberry Tarts feature a crisp shell, creamy chocolate ganache, and fresh strawberries for a visually stunning, indulgent dessert.

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 large egg yolk
1 tablespoon cold water
6 ounces dark or semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Optional: powdered sugar, chocolate shavings, or crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add egg yolk and water, mix lightly. Chill 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll dough, fit into tart pans, prick base, line with parchment, add weights. Bake 12–15 minutes, remove weights, bake 5–7 minutes. Cool.
  • Heat cream until simmering, pour over chocolate, stir until smooth, add vanilla, cool slightly.
  • Pour ganache into tart shells, smooth top, refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Arrange strawberries on set ganache, add optional garnishes.
