This cheesy chicken bake combines tender chicken breasts with a rich pesto cream sauce and layers of melty mozzarella and Parmesan for a hearty, one-pan meal.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3/4 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Season both sides of the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Place chicken in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Mix pesto, cream, and cream cheese until fairly smooth.

  • Pour the sauce over the chicken evenly.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  • Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes, until cheese is golden and chicken is cooked through.

  • Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for extra browning.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with basil if desired.
