These juicy Greek turkey meatballs are packed with herbs and garlic, served with a creamy homemade tzatziki sauce. A fresh, healthy Mediterranean-inspired meal.
For the Meatballs:
1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
1/4 cup red onion, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp lemon zest
1/3 cup breadcrumbs or panko
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Grate cucumber, squeeze dry, and combine all tzatziki ingredients. Chill.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
In a bowl, combine all meatball ingredients. Mix gently.
Form into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
Serve with chilled tzatziki sauce.
