Fluffy, oven-baked buns filled with spiced chicken and melted cheese — a comforting savory bake ideal for meals or snacking.

Ingredients

  • 500g all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 7g instant yeast

  • 250ml warm milk

  • 1 egg (for dough)

  • 50g butter, softened

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Sesame seeds (optional)

  • 300g chicken breast, diced

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 100g shredded cheese (mozzarella + cheddar)

Instructions

  • Combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix in milk and egg to form a dough.

  • Knead in butter until dough is smooth. Let rise 1 hour.

  • Cook onion and garlic in oil. Add chicken and spices. Cook until done.

  • Stir in chili sauce, mayonnaise, and cheese. Cool the filling.

  • Divide dough, flatten each piece, and fill with cooled mixture. Seal and shape into balls.

  • Let buns rise again for 25–30 minutes.

  • Brush with egg, top with sesame seeds, and bake at 180°C for 18–22 minutes.

  • Brush with butter while warm and serve.
