Fluffy, oven-baked buns filled with spiced chicken and melted cheese — a comforting savory bake ideal for meals or snacking.
500g all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
7g instant yeast
250ml warm milk
1 egg (for dough)
50g butter, softened
1 egg (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds (optional)
300g chicken breast, diced
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
2 tbsp chili sauce
2 tbsp mayonnaise
100g shredded cheese (mozzarella + cheddar)
Combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix in milk and egg to form a dough.
Knead in butter until dough is smooth. Let rise 1 hour.
Cook onion and garlic in oil. Add chicken and spices. Cook until done.
Stir in chili sauce, mayonnaise, and cheese. Cool the filling.
Divide dough, flatten each piece, and fill with cooled mixture. Seal and shape into balls.
Let buns rise again for 25–30 minutes.
Brush with egg, top with sesame seeds, and bake at 180°C for 18–22 minutes.
Brush with butter while warm and serve.
