A cheesy, creamy chicken casserole layered with crushed Doritos for the perfect blend of bold flavor and crunchy texture. A quick and comforting dish for any occasion.
3 cups cooked shredded chicken
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
1 packet taco seasoning
2½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 (9.75 oz) bag Nacho Cheese Doritos, lightly crushed
Optional: green onions, black beans, corn
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
In a large bowl, combine chicken, soup, sour cream, tomatoes, taco seasoning, and 1½ cups cheese.
Layer crushed Doritos on the bottom of the dish.
Spread half the chicken mixture over the chips.
Add another layer of crushed Doritos and the rest of the chicken mixture.
Top with remaining 1 cup of cheese.
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
Just before serving, sprinkle more crushed Doritos on top and garnish with green onions if desired.
