Slow-cooked mushrooms in creamy ranch with butter, garlic, and herbs for a tender, flavorful side.

1 pound button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
1 cup ranch dressing
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional

Instructions

  • Clean and trim mushrooms.
  • Sauté garlic and onion in butter and olive oil until fragrant.
  • Place mushrooms in slow cooker and add ranch, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir.
  • Cook on low 2–3 hours until tender.
  • Add Parmesan in last 15 minutes if desired.
  • Stir in parsley before serving.
