1 9-inch pre-baked pie crust
4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves

Instructions

  • Pre-bake crust until lightly golden and cool.
  • Rinse, hull, and halve strawberries; sprinkle with sugar and let sit 15–30 minutes.
  • Cook sugar, cornstarch, and water until thick; stir in lemon juice, vanilla, and preserves.
  • Arrange strawberries in crust and pour glaze evenly.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
