Sticky Orange Sesame Chicken Stir Fry is a quick, delicious dish with crispy chicken, a citrus-soy glaze, and crisp vegetables. Perfect over rice or noodles for a weeknight dinner.
1 lb chicken thighs or breasts, chopped
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp oil, plus more as needed
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup snap peas
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tsp orange zest
3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 green onions, sliced
Coat chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
Mix orange juice, zest, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes.
Sear chicken in a hot pan until browned and cooked. Remove.
Stir fry vegetables until just tender.
Pour in sauce and simmer to thicken slightly.
Return chicken and toss everything in the sauce.
Add sesame oil, seeds, and green onions.
Serve hot over your choice of base.
