This creamy Cajun chicken pasta blends tender chicken, a rich spiced sauce, and pasta into a bold, satisfying dinner that’s quick enough for weeknights and tasty enough for special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (divided)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or linguine)
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Slice chicken into strips and coat with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.

  • Boil pasta in salted water; reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.

  • Heat oil and butter in skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side. Remove.

  • Sauté bell peppers in same pan for 3–4 minutes.

  • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in cream and broth; simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Mix in Parmesan and remaining Cajun seasoning. Simmer until slightly thickened.

  • Add pasta and chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat. Add pasta water if needed.

  • Adjust seasoning and serve hot with optional parsley garnish.
