1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch dish.
Sauté onion in olive oil until soft; add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Brown beef, season with salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
Make cheese sauce with butter, flour, milk, cream, and 1 1/2 cups cheddar.
