1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.

  • In another small bowl, stir cornstarch with water to form a slurry.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add shrimp in a single layer and cook about 1–2 minutes.

  • Turn shrimp and cook another minute until pink.

  • Pour honey garlic mixture into the skillet and stir.

  • Add the cornstarch slurry and cook while stirring until the sauce thickens.

  • Remove from heat once shrimp curl into a loose C shape.
