Traditional Irish potato bread with a soft center and crisp exterior. Perfect for breakfast or as a side.

2 cups mashed potatoes, 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons butter, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon baking powder, butter or oil for frying.

Instructions

1. Prepare and cool mashed potatoes. 2. Mix potatoes with butter, salt, baking powder, and flour to form dough. 3. Divide into two disks and cut each into four farls. 4. Heat skillet with butter or oil. 5. Cook farls 4–5 min per side until golden. 6. Drain on paper towel and serve warm. 7. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze.
