A flavorful one-skillet dish featuring juicy steak strips, tender bell peppers, black beans, and bold Tex-Mex spices. Quick, satisfying, and packed with protein.

Ingredients

1 lb flank or skirt steak, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 tbsp fajita seasoning
1 lime, juiced
Salt, to taste
Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  • Toss steak with salt and half the seasoning.

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high.

  • Sear steak in batches, 2–3 minutes per side. Set aside.

  • In the same pan, sauté peppers and onions with remaining seasoning for 6–8 minutes.

  • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  • Stir in beans and heat for 2 minutes.

  • Return steak and juices to skillet.

  • Add lime juice and stir to combine.

  • Top with cilantro and serve warm.
